In the midst of a nine-game winning streak and a close pennant race, the Tigers have lost All-Star shortstop Jhonny Peralta. Major League Baseball suspended Peralta and several other players suspected of using illegal performance-enhancing drugs. Peralta issued an apology Monday...admitting he made a terrible mistake...and accepting full responsibility for his actions. He accepted his 50-game suspension, and could return to the Tigers for the final weekend of the regular season. WXYZ-TV sports reporter David Solano is covering the Tigers in Cleveland. WDET's Pat Batcheller asked Solano if Peralta has played his last game wearing the Olde English D. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.
