Denby Students Work On Detroit Future City

A group of 200 seniors from Denby High School will get together with community members Thursday monring to show off their passion for Detroit.

The students are taking part in the “Pathway to Transformation” event. It’s the final part of their year-long involvement with Detroit Future City. That’s the organization working to coordinate long-term city planning.

Denby’s faculty incorporated parts of the Future City strategic framework into core classes.

Heidi Alcott is the Director of Operations for the Detroit Future City implementation office. She talked about the project with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn.

The "Pathway to Transformation" event takes place at Skinner Playfield at 12800 Kelly Road Thursday morning at 11.
