May 13, 2013

"It's an opportunity for adults to come out to camp and be a kid again."

Stephanie Wirtz, Michigan Recreation and Park Association.

Does your high-tech, high-stress job have you longing for those carefree days of summer camp? The Department of Natural Resources can help. The DNR and the Michigan Recreation and Park Association are offering two “back-to-nature” weekends this summer. The Association’s Stephanie Wirtz tells WDET's Pat Batcheller that Camp Kitigin (say "kid again") will help you find your inner camper. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation. Camp Kitigin runs August 15-17 and September 12-14 at the YMCA Camp Timbers in West Branch.
