MEDQ Announced Grants for Sewer Repairs

Several aging sewer systems will get an infusion of cash from the state to upgrade their facilities. The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality has announced the first round of cities which will receive loans and grants as part of Michigan’s “Stormwater, Assessment Management, and Wastewater” program. Dan Wyant is the Director of the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. He tells WDET’s J. Carlisle Larsen there was a high demand for the funding from municipalities.
