Detroit Lions’ owner William Clay Ford, Sr. died of pneumonia Sunday at age 88. Those who knew him say the thing he wanted most was to win a Super Bowl. It never happened, as the team won just one playoff game in 51 seasons under Ford’s ownership. Ford bought the Lions in 1963 for $4.5 million.
