New & Renewing Member Goal

"Thanks for the VERY low key on-air fund raising.  Hope it does the job!!!" Gloria W., West Bloomfield

Why your support matters:

Nearly 50% of WDET’s budget is made up of donations from individuals just like you– people who rely on WDET to be there to inform, enlighten and entertain them every day.

These dollars help to provide the Detroit region with vital news updates that you hear every weekday on Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and from WDET’s award-winning news team

Your support conveys our community’s value of independent journalism and inclusive conversations on programs like Detroit Today with Stephen Henderson, On Point and Fresh Air.

Additionally, it helps to shed light on the vibrancy of Detroit’s arts, culture and music on shows like Ann Delisi’s Essential Music, CultureShift and The Progressive Underground.

"Thanks for making my commute to Detroit informative and thought-provoking! As a newcomer to Southeast Michigan, I'm learning a lot about Detroit and the amazing communities within!" Jacinda B., Ypsilanti

Your support does all of this, plus making your donation today will help us get closer to our goal of $275,000.  When we meet this goal, we can cancel the on-air portion of the of Spring Fundraiser. That means NO interruptions to the news, information, conversations, and music that you count on.

Thank you for helping us exceed our goal of $275,000.

Here are two more ways you can stand up and show your support for WDET:

Sign the Protect My Public Media petition by April 14 to urge Congress to continue providing this essential funding for WDET and other public stations across the country.

Encourage others to join you in taking a stand for the local programs and station you love.
