After more than a year of public meetings and discussions, a "Framework" has been drafted for Detroit Future City, also known as the Detroit Works Project. Wayne State University professor of law Peter Hammer; professor and Chair of the WSU Department of Urban Studies and Planning Robin Boyle; and WSU professor of law John Mogk talk with Craig about the plan.
Craig discusses the newly released Detroit Future City Framework plan with Dan Kinkead (Hamilton Anderson Associates and Detroit Works Long-Term Planning Technical Team) and Laura Trudeau (Senior Program Director for The Kresge Foundation and member of the Detroit Works Project Long Term Planning Steering Committee). Two years of Detroit Works Long-Term Planning meetings and sessions culminate in the 347-page strategic framework plan, which Detroit Works released yesterday (Wednesday, January 8 2013).
